Here’s a unique way to explore San Francisco’s waterfront: Fisherman’s Wharf, Fort Mason, and the Marina District. The Long Now Foundation presents Mechanicrawl—Explore the mechanical marvels along San Francisco’s North Shore, including the triple expansion steam engine of the SS Jeremiah O’Brien!

Buy a ticket or join a participating organization and for admission to all locations. You can map your crawl prior to embarkation or on the fly with a smartphone.  You can also purchase or reserve your tickets online, including on the day of the crawl September 24, 2011.
